Why Grading Done Right Matters

A pad that is off by a fraction of a foot sends water toward the foundation instead of the street, and a subgrade short of density will settle and crack whatever sits on it. We grade positive slopes away from the structure and compact structural fill in controlled lifts, then test to 95 percent of maximum dry density from a Proctor test so a Benton County inspector signs off the first time.
